A new scholars program at WKU's School of Journalism and Broadcasting will focus on the First Amendment.

Louisville Attorneys Jon Fleischaker and Kim Green have given $250-thousand for the scholars program.

It will give top students from the School of Journalism a chance to take an advanced special topics class, with an emphasis on the First Amendment.

"This journalism school is award winning in the top 5 consistently, this only adds to that and continues the great run we've had," said Sara Shipley Hiles, Adjunct Prof. of Journalism.

The Advanced Special Topics class will be offered to juniors and seniors, and will include a field trip and nationally-recognized speakers each semester.
