African association launches award for education journalism

African journalists can submit any article written about education on the continent, and published in an African periodical, for cash prizes of up to EU€3,000 (about US$4,150). Entry deadline: November 1.The Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) is organizing the Africa Education Journalism Awards. Entries must be written in English, French, or Portuguese. There are two awards for each language, with first place worth EU€3,000 and second worth EU€2,000 (about US$2,760). Eligible articles must have been published since January 1, 2006.
