The UK correspondent of Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) was robbed of his mobile phone and wallet when mugged on Tuesday night on central London street on way home after performing his professional duty. Fawad Hashmey was returning from the Houses of Parliament after covering a talk by noted US scholar Noam Chomsky when set upon by four black teenagers near his home in East London. His cell phone and wallet was taken away and in the process the journalist received heavy facial and body bruising. The Police was immediately informed and has opened investigations.
